Pequita es una cantante/productora de sus temas llamada Elisa, de 19 años, nacida en Santiago de Chile. La talentosa artista nos presenta su último lanzamiento “Canciones Perdidas” , este contiene una diversidad de sonidos y melodías distintas que seguro le brindará una experiencia mágica a tus oídos.
Tuvimos la oportunidad de realizarle una entrevista:
¿Cómo fue el proceso de grabación del EP?/How was the process of recording the EP?
Pequita (Spa): Encerrada en mi pieza. En realidad son canciones que había hecho hace un tiempo y ahora tuve la posibilidad de remasterizadas y re-grabar algunos detalles para que sonara más pulido. Mi papá fue quien tocó todas las guitarras que suenan y yo me encargué de la producción.
Pequita (Eng): Locked in my room. Actually they are songs that she had done a while ago and now I had the possibility to remaster them and re-record some details to make it sound more polished. My dad was the one who played all the guitars that sound and I took care of the production.
¿Qué te inspiró en la creación de las canciones?
Pequita (Spa): Al igual que todas mis canciones, empezaron como un juego con el teclado y luego en el software de producción. Casi siempre es primero instrumental, luego letra, como la de Brasil, que solo se adaptó a los acordes y ritmo clásico del país, narrando un romance en él.Nube y Rayo son casi una excepción.Siempre que iba al cerro el cielo estaba despejado, exceptuando una nube que era màs fàcil observar desde la cima. Ahì me inventè una especie de romance, quizás con un alien o quien fuese el responsable de esa apariciòn constante, asì surge Nube. Rayo también se me ocurrió en una ida al cerro… es la naturaleza ! Ese día llovía muy fuerte, era muy lindo y mágico. Pensè que si en ese momento me cayera un rayo morirìa feliz, en paz.
Pequita (Eng): Like all my songs, they started out as a keyboard game and then in production software.It is almost always instrumental first, then lyrics, like the one from Brazil, which was only adapted to the country's classical chords and rhythm, narrating a romance in it.Cloud and Lightning are almost an exception.Whenever I went to the hill, the sky was clear, except for a cloud that was easier to see from the top. There I invented a kind of romance, perhaps with an alien or whoever was responsible for that constant appearance, that's how Nube emerged. Lightning also occurred to me on a trip to the hill... it's nature!That day it rained very hard, it was very beautiful and magical. I thought that if lightning struck me at that moment I would die happy, in peace.
¿Cuál fue el motivo por el cual empezaste a hacer música?/What was the reason you started making music?
Pequita (Spa): Fue durante la cuarentena. Había que buscar maneras de pasar el tiempo y quizás, en este caso, crear un escape de la realidad que estábamos viviendo, escenarios ficticios con instrumentales que transporten al oyente.En la cuarentena me regalaron mi bajo, comencè a escuchar nueva mùsica que me inspirò un montòn (Air, Cerati, Cibo Matto, etc), luego tuve mi tarjeta de sonido y ahì empezò todo.
Pequita (Eng): It was during the quarantine. We had to find ways to pass the time and perhaps, in this case, create an escape from the reality we were living, fictional settings with instruments that transport the listener.In quarantine they gave me my bass, I started listening to new music that inspired me a lot (Air, Cerati, Cibo Matto, etc.), then I had my sound card and that's where it all started.¿Qué te inspiró para la portada?/What inspired you for the cover?Pequita (Spa): Ilustrè “Canciones Perdidas” Unos instrumentos perdidos en el desierto, pidiendo que pares el auto y los lleves contigo.
Pequita (Eng): I illustrated “Lost Songs”Some instruments lost in the desert, asking you to stop the car and take them with you.
¿Cuáles son tus aspiraciones a futuro?/What are your aspirations for the future?
Pequita (Spa): Estoy trabajando en un disco que saldrá el primer semestre de este 2023.Más adelante me gustaría presentarme en vivo, inspirar a la gente …e irme de viaje, así yo también obtengo esa inspiración fresca que suelen traer los viajes.Eng: I'm working on an album that will be out in the first semester of 2023.Later on I would like to perform live, inspire people…and go on a trip, so I too get that fresh inspiration that travel usually brings.
